Our imagination often is referred to as our inner vision. When used properly, it can bring you anything your heart desires. Unfortunately most entrepreneurs and top producers don’t possess the ability to control what enters their minds. When our minds and imagination are out of control, the result is a life that is also out of control. Life making it difficult if not impossible to set up, let alone implement, a small business marketing strategy.
If you need some assistance in directing your inner vision, follow these simple steps.
Small Business Marketing Strategy: Set Your Intention
Interestingly, many of the top producers, who have attended our advisor and small business marketing strategies training, shared that setting their daily intention had the most significant impact in their success personally as well their small business marketing strategy.
Small Business Marketing Strategy: Create a Visualization Board and Book
Your visualization board and book is a collage of pictures. The goal of a vision board or book is to motivate and inspire you to achieve your dreams while imprinting your goals in your mind. Your vision board and book should include pictures, quotes, and specific details that represent your ideal small business marketing strategy and life. Specific examples include the affluent clients you wish to serve, the income you want to earn, in your business, the impact you make in your niche market, etc. It is helpful to include personal pictures that represent your ideal life, too. These pictures can include your family or future family (if you don’t have one), dream vacation spots, favorite inspirational quotes and pictures of your ideal look (physically and mentally).
Everything on your visioning board or book should resonate with your small business marketing strategy and personal goals. To imprint your vision in your mind, review your visualization book each morning when you rise and evening when you retire. After reviewing it, take a few minutes, close your eyes and see your ideal career and life.
In addition, to creating a visualization book that represents your ideal life, personally and professionally, you may also want to create a visioning board. Viewing the board during the day can help to keep you focused on your ideal goals and objectives. Experts agree that visualizing an event can dramatically improve our odds of achieving the result! Pictures of my dream cabin were in my vision book. Not surprising, after four years, it became a reality when we were able to purchase a cabin that very closely resembled the one in my visioning book. That is the power of visioning!
As you proceed, continue to spend time working on your mission and also getting clear on what you want in your marketing plan as well as your life. Also create your vision board and book and schedule time each day to visualize exactly how it will look when you achieve it.
